Farewell to Marsala Red – Pantone Color of 2015

2015 has come to an end and so with it the rich, beautiful wedding trends of the year.  2015 was filled with luscious, romantic events accented with the color of the year, Marsala.  This rosy red served as the perfect color to encompass so many gorgeous weddings. Each season brought a new spin on this vibrant color.

Spring weddings used Marsala to balance pastel pinks. Marsala brought a touch of elegance to flowy chiffon bridesmaids’ dresses. Groomsmen picked up this maroon tone in their suit accessories and boutonnieres to build a complete bridal party. Marsala is so classic and it was so stunning on the mother of the bride. Marsala accents in a fresh floral centerpiece brought drama to the lovely, light piece. Deep Marsala served as the perfect passionate undertone in a light and romantic spring wedding celebrating the new life of such beautiful couples.

Marsala Spring

The Summer of 2015 saw the pastel pinks of spring replaced with the lush romance of Marsala and other dark, vibrant colors. Shades of grey and deep blue melded with Marsala to form a perfect summer medley. The fourth of July featured gorgeous, sophisticated celebrations with Marsala, Navy and silver paired to celebrate newlyweds like fireworks in a star filled evening sky.

Fall came with a chill and brought with it dreams of sunset weddings filled with burnt orange, plums and Marsala. Solid wood tables with pumpkins and eggplant calla lilies were lit up with marsala rose petals to bring contrast and love to the dark, warm tablescapes. Beautiful bridesmaids dressed in Marsala gowns walked down the aisle with bountiful Marsala bouquets in hand. 2015 brides brought even more drama to their already glowing faces with Marsala lipstick.

Marsala Fall

Marsala saw its full bounty as the Winter set in. Marsala linens brought rich warmth to winter wonderland weddings. Marsala elevated holiday weddings to match the most sophisticated brides and grooms. Roses in the perfect shade of Marsala red gave those peaceful white weddings the drama that turned the event into a spectacle. Gold pulled Marsala to a royal palette and played off the shinier tones of blue and silver that we saw Marsala with all year round.
